Demonstrating Reliability with Accel. Testing

by Mr. Larry Edson, BSME, CQE

This comprehensive course integrates the key concepts of reliability statistics, acceleration factors, and test flow planning to produce an efficient process for Demonstrating Reliability. This system of knowledge will cover electrical and mechanical failure mechanisms and will explain the important acceleration factors being used today. Methodology for generating acceleration factors unique to your product will also be explained through worked examples in class. All methods used are based on the physics of failure. Students will participate in sample size determination and Weibull plotting of failure data using real life examples. The class will culminate in the design of test flows using the methods explained in class.
