Mr. George M. Hieber, M.S., P.E.

Mr. George M. Hieber, P.E., engineering consultant and founder of Hieber Engineering in 1972, is widely recognized as a lecturer and consultant in mechanical dynamics, and shock and vibration. He received his BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Alabama and his MS degree in Solid Mechanics from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey.

Mr. Hieber's industrial experience includes 8 years with Grumman Aircraft as a stress analyst and instrumentation engineer, 4 years as chief of electromechanical design with Gulton Industries and 13 years in engineering management with RCA. In all of these positions, he was associated with designing and testing with the dynamic environments of shock and vibration.

Mr. Hieber's consulting practice keeps him abreast of the latest problems and problem-solving techniques in dynamics. He has given seminars throughout the US and abroad. His work has appeared in Machine Design, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Spectral Dynamics Technical Notes, Electrical Industries, ISA and IES Proceedings.
