MR. JAMES MCLEISH

James McLeish is a senior technical staff consultant and manager of the Michigan office of DfR Solutions. Mr. McLeish is an ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer with over 32 years of automotive and military E/E experience in design, development, validation testing, production quality and field reliability. He participated in the invention of Chrysler’s first microprocessor engine control systems. He has held numerous management and technical expert positions in automotive electronic product design and development, vehicle electrical system integration, product assurance, testing and warranty problem solving as an E/E Reliability Manager and E/E Quality/Reliability/Durability (QRD) technical specialists at General Motors. Mr. McLeish holds 3 patents and authored/co-authored three automotive E/E validation-test standards. He is a core member of the SAE’s reliability standards committee, a member of the Department of Defense teams updating the military’s reliability handbook (MIL-HDBK-217) and revising Military standards for Pb-Free Electronics. Additionally he teaches Quality-Reliability Engineering in the automotive engineering masters program at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield,Michigan.
